Shoppers City West was a mall located in Nepean, Ontario a suburb of Ottawa. Opened in November 1961 and closed its doors in July 2001 which was later demolished. Today College Square is located in the former location of the mall. It was on Baseline Road at Woodroffe Avenue and is north of Algonquin College. The mall over the years had stores like a barber shop, dry cleaners, a restaurant, Loblaws and Towers which later changed to Zellers. In the location it had a strip mall featuring Chances R, LCBO, Pet Value, and a drug store. Chances R opened in 1976 and is co-owned by former hockey player and Ottawa 67's coach Brian Kilrea. Chances R is the only business that existed after Shoppers was demolished and re-opened in College Square in 2002.
